Very few things disturb Outlook - migrating from one version of Windows to a newer version can disrupt the service. Make sure it is (still) configured and working as expected. IF you have Outlook installed on your computer as part of your Office suite, If you were using SMTP port 465, try switching to SMTP port 587
If you were using SMTP poor 587, try switching to SMTP port 465 Make sure Mail actually works - that is, open Windows Mail and check it (receive / send mail). Make sure that your Windows Mail is set up and that you have added your Gmail account to it. Restart everything, including the router. Gmail does not like the setting and will eventually override it. Gmail might "uncheck" the "less secure" setting after a time.
If you are using "Less Secure Passwords", make sure it is still checked. If you are using Two-step security, make sure it is still checked. That is, open your browser and log into your gmail account. If you have not logged into your gmail account for a while, do so. Why? It's easier and there might be fewer opportunities for making small errors.
